Victoria Falls is one of the most compelling sites in the world, this cascading column of sheer energy powers its way down a 100m chasm, taking your breath away, as you gaze in awe mesmerized by its strength and incredible beauty. As you captivate this famous wonder you will be completely enthralled to see and feel “The Smoke that Thunders.”

The Tour Guides will ensure that the best photographic opportunities are indicated, whilst mesmerizing the clients with historical and current information, as well as details on the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife, and other related issues on this World Heritage Site. Raincoats are provided when needed.

Departure Times:Generally 08h00 / 09h00 / 11h00 / 14h00 / 15h00. However, we are very flexible and will suit client’s itinerary where they cannot meet the scheduled departure times. It is very necessary to pre-book a Guided Tour for planning purposes.

Duration:2 – 2.5 hours depending on how much time clients want to spend taking photos and admiring the spectacular views. Also note that there is a Café in the Rainforest and clients can take time out to have something to drink / eat before walking out of the Rainforest.

TRADITIONAL VILLAGE TOUR

Prepare to be amazed as you enter a different world, where a way of life continues as it has done for centuries, enabling you to go back in time.

Clients are taken to an authentic rural village approximately 20km from Victoria Falls town where they are given the opportunity to watch local villagers going about their daily tasks. The tour enables the client to see rural life first hand; visiting rural homes, watching their fields being tended and possibly getting the chance to help in some of the day-to-day chores.

Recommendations:Bring any old clothes, sweets, stationery, etc which can be useful to these people.

HISTORIC BRIDGE TOUR

Journey through over 100 years of history in this engaging, theatrical and educational tour. Built between 1904 and 1905 the Bridge is one of Victoria Falls most prominent land marks.

The Shearwater Bridge Tour, led by our enthusiastic team of guides, takes you through the history of this remarkable structure, from its design and initial prefabrication in England, to its construction in Africa.

The bridge, an engineering masterpiece and revolutionary for its time, was central to Cecil John Rhodes’ vision of a Cape to Cairo railway and its history is entertaining, tragic and transfixing in equal measure.

BATOKA GORGE HIKE

A 40-minute drive through the countryside of Zimbabwe on off-road terrain will offer picturesque scenery on the way to the top of the Gorge, at rapid number 23. After the safety and procedural briefing, you will enjoy the hour long walk at the top of the gorge, along the river to rapid 25. The hiking experience continues into an authentic beautiful Ndebele homestead where you will get a chance to interact with the local headman and his family while you have brunch under the thatched shade of their decorated mud huts. These graceful hosts are keen to show off their home, share their cultural way of life in relation to family, education, livestock, diet and anything you may find interesting.

This is a non-seasonal activity which can be enjoyed throughout the year.
